Omar is known for his sharp advocacy, practical judgment, and an unwavering commitment to his clients. He founded this practice to provide sophisticated legal representation with the individual, personal attention missing at larger firms. Clients work directly with their lawyer, receive candid advice, and benefit from a strategy tailored to their specific goals.

Prior to founding Omar Russo Law, Omar worked at a prominent New York City injury firm, where he managed a high-volume caseload and secured millions of dollars in client recoveries year-after- year through meticulous litigation and deliberate handling.

With emphasis on his civil rights practice, Omar’s experience dealing with law enforcement agencies began on the inside. Before entering private practice Omar defended the City of New York and its police officers in civil lawsuits. It was in defending these cases that Omar gained valuable insight into how the City and defense counsel evaluate these claims and defend cases. Now he uses that knowledge to benefit his clients, those who have suffered at the hands of those sworn to protect and serve.

Omar is admitted to practice in New York, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York, and the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.
